June 2021 - A peculiar month has arrived, with several vital shifts pulling us both backward and forward at the same time!

From the onset of the month, Mercury retrograde in Gemini encourages us to slow down, review ideas, and revise our communications. This could create a rather pronounced effect on our thoughts and interactions as our cosmic messenger moonwalks in its home zodiac sign. Resistance now will be futile. Succumb to the transit, recognize that delays and obstacles are just a part of the journey, and soon we will be through this entirely.

Mercury is retrograde in Gemini until June 22. While clarity will begin to arrive shortly thereafter, a sluggish pace could still likely be felt into July. Yet, almost ironically, a solar eclipse in Gemini also takes place during this period, on the tenth. Energy will crackle through the air like heat lightning, bringing breakthrough ideas and changes to our paths. Solar eclipses bring destined new beginnings, a fresh perspective, and excitement. Because of these simultaneous triggers, it would be best to triple-check everything as you cautiously proceed. The sun’s light will radiate within Gemini until June 20.

Powerhouse Mars turns a corner to ascend the throne of Leo beginning on the eleventh. Our passions will be ignited as we make grand gestures to express ourselves. Our confidence will sizzle and soar and our sex appeal should radiate. This is a highly favored transit for all creative, romantic, fertility, and sexual matters. Reach toward great goals now and you may be crowned in your own glory. Mars burns brightly in this fire sign, so don’t rest in the shadows. Roar.

However, June brings the second of three sharp squares between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, which is exact on June 14. We will feel the clash of this fixed sign energy all month as we experience resistance to our goals. While we want change and freedom, we are being grounded at the same time. This square could be a little less difficult than the one in February because Saturn is retrograde. With the stronger Uranus energy, we could find that freedom reigns.
